We are fortunate to have an incredible team of professionals supporting us and making the CFS family really work.

Scott Watters
Scott, is father to five, and has spent a lot of his life involved with musical theatre as a musician/musical director and has played a leading role on the odd occasion. He is still known to occasionally play the Church Organ when called upon. He spent 20 years in the Ambulance Service, including serving as the Manager responsible for West Cornwall. After 3 years as the Clinical Lead for Bristol, Bath, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire NHS111 he opened Cornwall Funeral Services.

Matt Watters
Matt is Scott’s son and the youngest of the directors. Although he may be the youngest he is highly professional and the reviews of the care he provides speak volumes. Alongside working as a Funeral Director he runs MJW Audio – a sound design business which provides services to theatre companies in Cornwall and further afield.

Morgan Court
Morgan, an honorary member of the family, joined Cornwall Funeral Services after a decade managing a very popular pub in Padstow. He too has a penchant for the arts, he is the Treasurer for Redruth Amateur Musical & Pantomime Society and has brought a wonderful ‘can do’ approach to the team. Morgan heads up Cornwall Funeral Services webcasting and video recording.

Jeremy Burt
Jeremy became a funeral director in 2009 when he bought Peakes of Tolcarne from the Peakes family. Since then he has pushed the business forward whilst maintaining the long and profound reputation of the nearly 200 year old business. Despite now beginning to take a step back, he continues to be there for the families we serve.

David Maddern
David joined CFS as a full time Funeral Director in April 2023. He comes from a vast array of experience in many fields, from his extensive career in the RAF to being a Funeral Director for a national firm. He has also spent 3 years being a freelance celebrant. David wanted to get back into funeral directing and it is our luck that we were looking for someone to join the CFS family in that role.

Ann Tew
Ann joined the Peakes of Tolcarne team in 2015. Since then she has played a vital role in the ongoing care Peakes’ families have received. She is both a funeral director and, like fellow funeral directors David and Scott, she is also a celebrant. Ann has very quickly merged into part of the CFS family.

Barry Estlick
Barry, affectionately known as ‘Dad’ or ‘Grandpa’ (although no relation), has been part of the CFS family since the early days and is always the font of knowledge and support. Barry is always pristine in his appearance which is no doubt due to his military background.

Andrew Reed
Andrew is a qualified teacher but feels honoured to now be caring for people at a difficult time in their lives. Andrew can often be found treading the boards for theatrical productions in Redruth and Helston. He has two children and is married to Helen.

Vicky Fisk
Vicky and her family have been friends of Scott and Morgan for more years than any of them care to recall. She joined the CFS team in 2021, after working in a school with Early Years Foundation children. She studied Dance at university and works as a choreographer with amateur theatre companies across West Cornwall. Since becoming a mother in 2023, she has decided to take a step back from CFS to spend more time with her family. However, she will remain a member of her other family here at CFS.

Matt Williamson
Matt is another full time member of the team. He has 10 years of experience in the funeral industry and is glad to be carrying that on with the CFS family. He has quickly become a valuable member of the team and perfectly matches everyone’s desire to go the extra mile for those we look after.

Peter Taylor
Peter is one of our newest members of the team having recently finished college. Like a lot of the team, Peter has a passion for technical aspects of the theatre working closely with Matt, Morgan and Scott on various productions over the years.

Ryan Jones
Ryan is our casual member of the team having joined in April 2023. After discharging from the Army in 2018, Ryan found his niche working in the funeral industry, ultimately assisting on the frontline. Ryan is a British Champion in Taekwondo, an achievement he holds in the highest regard.
